I think there are a couple of other things you have to do. "Edit" your engine. check "Parameters" to activate the engine parameters (where you have selected "Own Book" and given the book name) click on "Book Options", and uncheck "Use book" and "Tournament book" I'm not sure what would happen if you do not do this. Perhaps the chosen ctg book will take over after the "own book" finishes.
