Joachim,

Thank you for your response. Hmm... I submitted a query for help on a public
bulletin board and received a response directly from the vendor within hours
with a cogent response that says a fix has been made and will be released in the
next release.  Already this is better support than what most users seem to get
from ChessBase.

Add to that support for non-Windows platforms like Linux and Mac OS/X ... things
are beginning to look even better now. Not only is Fruit 2.2 a very strong
engine, but the support is already showing itself to be better than what I am
used to from ChessBase.

Of course doing this well over a long period of time is what defines true
excellence. The Fruit team is off to a good start all the same!
