It'll be quite a while before Mr. Hyatt gets that scanned and OCR'ed. (I can speak from experience... OCRing a program is no fun! I have to admit that I am surprised he offered! Thanks Bob!) Things have been rather slow lately. I have about a dozen emails still out to different authors and other people. (Some of the people I've contacted confirm they don't have a copy, or only a printed listing of the program.) There are 4+ programs that are likely to show up, as soon as the author gets around to finding them and sending them to us. But that could be anywhere from tomorrow to next month. I have one non-US program that I could post, except I don't yet have permission from the authors. A couple of people have offered me a program, but we don't know if it's been modified or not, and they aren't the authors and don't have the authority to give me permission to post it on the web. (That's why we definetly prefer dealing with the authors whenever possible.) I got fixated for a week or so trying to find a couple of Canadian programs. No luck. So it is slow going. And although there are a couple other people helping a little (for a couple programs they are interesetd in), I'm doing most of it in my spare time. And which program I happen to hunt for depends on my mood at that particular time... And I've been playing around with the idea of scanning and OCRing the Kotok program, and then writing equivelent fortran code to replace the assembly code. If I work up the energy to do that, it'd be the oldest chess program running. So it's not going to get done in the next few weeks. I know everybody here (including myself) would like to see more progress, but it just takes a while.
