From then on, everything should be the same whether a registered user or a guest is logged in. I will now have to fix the ICS vs FICS differences. That ponder issue is a wierd one. I always play Thinker with ponder on at ICC, and tried it too as guest at FICS. I'll look into that. There is currently no display configuration dialog, but it is in the pipeline. For now, you just edit the Display.txt file to change the piece colors. For example, Axel has the following settings for a brown board: LightSquaresColor 215 189 86 DarkSquaresColor 179 124 26 WhitePieceColor 251 251 251 BlackPieceColor 0 0 0 I don't have access to a 640x480 PPC. All I have is a 320x240 one, and the emulator also only supports that low res. So, I really can't say much about VGA.
