Hi Enam, Spike has been tested with Shredder-GUI, Fritz-GUI, Arena and Winboard-GUI. It supports the UCI-Protocol (you need it for Shredder and Fritz) and the Winboard-Protocol (you need it for Winboard-GUI). Arena does support both Protocolls thus you can select Winboard and UCI. Spike has an agressive playing style. It gets good raitings in engine vs. engine matches. Look at the CEGT raiting list to get a good information about it´s relative strength to other engines. And yes, Spike has some weaknesses - there is room for improvements. But I don´t think that Spike has a general weakness in endgames, perhaps in some endgame positions. Greetings Volker
