Assuming computer chess elo vs FIDE elo is 1:1 more or less this will put resurrection in top 20 on the FIDE list. Now if a 200MHZ machine gives us 2700 elo, what will a 3.8GHz with 512 meg of hash give? 2900 elo perhaps? I don’t think the ELO curve is linear like that .We are using this high ELO numbers too loosely. I would like to see the computers participate in human tournaments to get their ELO rating. I don’t really like the computer vs computer matches for determining its ELO because the starting reference for the first rated program is questionable. Thank you for listening Murat :.
