I have mixed feelings about Fruit2.2.It can play some very ugly positional moves that engines like Fritz and Shredder would never play.Maybe this is the new chess! However,when it comes to the endgame it's another story.I often see it come out of the middlegame worse and then proceed to outplay its opponent in the endgame. It has not fared well against Shredder in the Nunn (20 game) test and loses every time on the black side of the French C19.Shredder also loses from this position nearly every time against most strong engines to the 'Greek gift'.
