Oops, THIS also happens in Fritz 9 GUI.

Interesting detail: The first time you confirm the settings with "Ok" only HP
gets disabled. Do it again, and EFP will be disabled too. That's what happens
under F9 gui.

So, it seems to me, the solution should be to not open Engine Properties while
the engine is loaded.
