Notable

Another program has joined the list this week, Rajah by V. Manohararajah.
V-Man says Rajah will be playing more on ICC now, since he's got an old P166
hooked up for that purpose, more or less permanently. Rajah competed at
Aegon 97, with a score of 3.5/6. It uses the 0x88 board, and you can read
more about it in the ICCAJ, vol 20, #2.

The only new high was recorded by Amateur (2542). Hossa continues to be
the most volatile program, and this week was also the most active with
414 blitz games played.

u2600 Position of the Week

I didn't receive any positions for analysis this week, so I'll just post
an old one that most of you may know. These kinds of positions are more
interesting when they come from current members' games, but I guess good
ones are hard to come by.

This is from the game Nunn - Nimzo, Aegon 93.
To see Nimzo's analysis, check out the ICCAJ Donninger article on null-move.
