This book harkens back to the days when chessplayers were completely on their own devices. Just imagine the amount of... how to say it... Balls it took not only to come up with one's own theories, but also to publish them. Today, Anyone with a computer and $50 can pretend he's a grandmaster. I was watching the world championship games online. Many people were making comments about how GM so and so blundered, or how a complex ending was really very simple. You might think these commentators were titled players! Alas, They are only patzers like myself. In fact, They are not really interested in chess at all. They are all amatuer magicians(the slight of hand type). They want you to believe that they know what they are talking about. They don't. Commentators in the pre-computer era were really on their own. Their brilliant ideas were on the page right next to their horrible blunders. In this way they gave more of themselves. If I was you I would cherish this ancient relic of times past! Regards Tony P.S. If you do not accept any of this bullshit, You could probably sell on E-bay and buy Fruit with proceeds.
