I prefer to have 1 root window, in which the rest of the subwindows can reside. That way you can have whatever component loaded you want or just the chessboard, and at the same time if you want to minimize it you can do it all in 1 button. It's frustrating if you want to minimize 10 small screens for 1 program. Just my $0.02 :) Josh
