Subject: Game 9: Fruit 2.2 - Deep Shredder 9.02; long T/C; two fast computers

Author: Peter Kasinski

Date: 07:38:41 10/09/05

- Match of 24 games
- Fruit 2.2: FX-55 2.6 GHz; 512 Mb hash
- Deep Shredder 9.02 x64: Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2.4GHz Dual Core; 1408Mb hash
- Shredder GUI, each engine using its own book
- Shredder with 3,4,5 and 138Gb of 6-man tablebases
- Time Control: 40 in 120, 20 in 60, rest in 30

Game 9: second win for Fruit

Fruit leads by 5.0 - 4.0 (+2 -1 =6)

Nice move no. 27 (after over 13 minutes) makes Shredder immediately give up a
piece for a pawn. The rest, as they say, is history.

I can't resist the impression (after 9 games) that playing on half the hardware
Fruit is more than holding its own agains the "Deep" opponent.
Truly impressive.

Next game overnight.
