This is only true for programs running on fast PC's.  Dedicated chess computers
all run on "washing machine" chips at something between 8-20 MHz.  Thus they
don't get much search depth at fast controls, leading to easier games.

The average user also doesn't play strict blitz, but takes more time than the
computer.  On the servers, where the time controls are strict, the computers
perform better at blitz simply because they don't make 3-ply tactical mistakes
like humans do.

BTW, aren't the Radio Shack computers re-branded Saitek machines?  What is the
Saitek model equivalent to an RS 2200?
