Ok, I too get many things with e-mail from firms, but most of these is on
professional basis so for me the default is that a private e-mail is for private
use and not a channal for a company to publish information to the general
public.

I guess you know where to put a box that restrict your wanted usage.
(I use the same router and have never had any problem.)
