Thanks Dann, Yes I understand the common terminology of Ply. That's why I was careful & precise to note that "for analysis purposes" Chessbase considers 1 ply(= a move for both sides) and evaluates every legal move in a position 1/2 ply at a time, which is 1 iteration.
