Wouldn't it be nice to have something that would do the whole job with the click of a button? That is what the OP was asking for. As an illustration: Someone asks, "Can I dig a canal across Panama?" Someone response, "Here's a teaspoon. Have fun." Of course, you could do it. But it would take a long, long, long time. Similarly, to split the entire database apart using ChessBase into its individual files split apart by author is like digging a canal with a teaspoon. You seem to be arguing about something, but I'm not really sure what it is.
