Wasn't that bug fixed with uci.dll version 1.0.1.6 or -7? There is a separate
update for the uci.dll available from the chessbase.com download pages. I do not
know anymore, which uci.dll version the last complete update from playchess.com
includes, for the version 8 gui.

I have seen that 1 MB hash is displayed in Fritz' F3 dialogue box after
restarting the program, if I use a winboard engine through wb2uci (like ProDeo
1.1), but that's a different story because in fact ProDeo allocates the
configured hash size correctly. I think this 1 MB setting change is related to
the adapter exe, which has no hash tables, in such a setup. It is required to
manually change that back to the normal size if you load a chessbase (!) engine
later, because otherwise that would run with 1 MB only. I am aware that the bug
in question is something else.

Does the 1 MB hash size bug exist still, with the latest uci.dll 1.0.1.7?

Yours truly Paul J. Sacral
