If however your program could not >see a win in the immediate future then draws would be O.K. >Just my opion. >Bill In other words if the program makes a move that force a draw by the 50 move rule then it should claim a draw immediatly because it is clear that the opponent can force a draw but if the opponent made a move that force a draw by the 50 move rule the program should first search and only if it see no advantage it should claim a draw. note that in the last case every move that is no pawn move or capture or checkmate should be evaluated as not more than a draw because the opponent may claim a draw after it.
