I agree that the move played by Junior is sensless but it does not change the
result of the game.

The evaluation function of the KR vs KP is simply a bigger advantage for white
then KR vs K so Junior does not take the pawn but it will eventually take the
pawn even if the opponent does not advanve the pawn because it knows the 50 move
rule.
