A few days ago i posted a message about this famous European tournament for the old dedicated chess computers the tournament will take place this upcoming weekend with 24 European collectors in attendance ,several of which are of the World Class Rank they will spend 48 hours together and speak ,eat and talk chess computers all will not be so lovey dovey however this is hardly a hand holding affair with everyone singing "Kumbayah" on the contrary,the competition for first prize will be fiercely contested and games that could be adjudicated as drawn or clearly resignable will be played out well into the dark hours of the night fisticuffs have been known to erupt when a collector with a clearly lost position insists to play out the game in the desperate hope his opponent will blunder or loss on time..and all of this at 3-4 am in the morning the collector's forget even that it is not he /she(there is one female collector in attendance)that is playing the game, but the computer the collector BECOMES the computer when the trophies are handed out it is as if the collector himself won the match and not his computer in addition to the games,deals and trades are hammered out in smokey back rooms for collecting purposes at the end of the day..a good time will be enjoyed by all here is the list of the participants and their Computer alter ego's: http://www.schachcomputer.at/kaufbeu5.htm Will Be At Home Watching On ESPN Regards Steve
