Others can be forgotten. From CEGT testing it seems that Fruit 2.2 is stronger than Shredder 9 in a statistically significant way. Also Fritz 9 seems to be slightly better than Shredder 9, altough more games are needed. However I agree with you on the fact that these three program are of similar strenght, while everything else (commercially available) seems to be at least 50 elo points weaker. Maurizio
