   My understanding is that the "4000+" number is a relative performance instead
of a MHz number.   In other words, a "4000+" is said to have the same
performance at a 4000 MHz Intel chip (even though it may only be running at 2.8
GHz).   So the 4000 number is a good relative measure.
   As others have said here, go with the best AMD chip you can afford!
