The fruit team because they trusted the Fritz gui to give correct information.

Chessbase is known to give wrong information to engines(we already have
experience with the 1 Mbyte hash bug).
conclusion is that programmers should never trust the Fritz gui to give correct
information to the engine and they should simply ignore commands that comes from
the Fritz GUI.

If people want to change personality the only possibility should be by changing
some ini file.
This is the way that I allow changing personality in Movei.

Fortunately there is no bug in Fritz GUI that edit ini files that the engine is
using.

Note that bugs of giving wrong information like 1 mbyte hash may be result of
error and not of bad intentions.

I am almost sure that chessbase GUI will not have a bug that change ini files of
engines for something inferior because even if they have a bad intention to make
other engines weaker(I assume that they have not bad intention) then I believe
that they are not stupid enough to create evidence for their bad intentions and
I think that a bug that changes ini files of engines for something that produce
inferior results is a clear evidence for bad intentions.
