I do not know where the Fritz programmer got his ideas from. But Fritz has
always been among the strongest programs and has showed a lot of progress
through the years. Personally I have always liked Fritz and expected a great
program this time as well. (Specially because it is an odd numbered version. I
have always found them to be the best Frtizes! :-) )I also remember ChessBase
had an article telling that Fritz was "rebuilt" from ground up with a new
knowledge based approach. I belive them and now I am looking forward to get my
new F9 in the mail! And I also expect them to publish an update that will fix
the obvious bug in the endgame.
