It does look puzzling. Typically one wants to remove the pawn to reach a
KN vs KBN ending. The only explanation that makes any sense is that the game I
downloaded from the TWIC site is wrong. Of course there may be some deep
line that I am missing too. Probably most computers would play Nc3. I
could not find any comments on this position on the web. I'll search my
favourite sites and see what the GM's are reporting.
