If you look back on the history of GNUChess in the CCT's, it has done well. And
due to that, it is the #1 choice as a "filler" when there are uneven
participants.

It is never just a "gimme" game on today's hardware.

Here is an interesting fact:

Junior, Fruit, Crafty, Spike, PostModernist, and Hiarcs all _played_ one more
game than some of the others due to a bye created by QuarkX, yet finised in the
top 4. (If you count tying for places)

    Name Score #g
  1 Fruit (3008) 7.5 9
  1 ban (2689) 7.5 9
  2 SpikeX (2714) 6.5 9
  3 Hiarcs8x (2812) 5.5 9
  3 crafty (2604) 5.5 9
  3 notalent (2424) 5.5 8
  4 ArasanX (2557) 5.0 8
  4 PostModernist (2569) 5.0 9
