Hi Mike, Since you've visited some tweaking sites already, the following might be old news. (or just plain useless.) Go to proporties of "my computer" -> advanced -> performance (i'm checking the dutch version now.. i just translate from "prestaties") -> settings advanced -> CPU usage: Make sure both cpu-usage and memory usage are checked at programs, not backgroundservice. And having a fixed swap file instead of a dynamic swap file might be of help also. And finally, turn of any services you don't need. -> start -> run -> type: services.msc Better do do a search on some of those tweak sites which services you don't need, I don't want to be resposible for messing up your system... Sorry in advance if this was all old news to you, Mike Best of luck, Rick
