Hi all, Scatha 0.2.8 for Mac OS X 10.4 is now available from http://www.glaurungchess.com. The engine is basically unchanged since version 0.2.7, but there are several improvements, new features and bugfixes (and, without doubt, dozens of new bugs) in the GUI. The most visible new feature is that FRC support has been added. This has been tested with Glaurung Mainz (included), Fruit 2.2 and Shredder 9.11. No problems were observed in the few games I have played, but honestly I still don't expect it to work very well. You'll find a new screenshot from an FRC game between Glaurung and Shredder on my Scatha page. Look out for patches to Scatha 0.2.8 over the next few days (I won't announce them here). Tord
