Subject: Question about chessmarks

Can anyone tell me how fast the Athlon 64x2 4200 is compared to the single
processor Athlon 64s?  I mean are they "4200" because the dual core is expected
to be faster than a single core or are they "real" 4200 machines with two cores?
  In other words is the dual core 4200 significantly faster than say a Athlon 64
3700 running a "single" program like Hiarcs or ProDeo?
