Usually the evidence produced points towards the defendant’s guilt. The more circumstantial evidence there is the more likely the case will be proofed. In this case we have a Computer sold by me on Ebay. After the sale someone copied the second chance offer screen and offered it to losing bidders. I was contacted by a couple of them and alerted. Ebay was informed. Then my auction appeared again this time with all my pictures and description (an Ebay violation) the seller was a newbie with no feedback. When contacted the seller said they were selling on behalf of a friend in London so couldn’t provide any new pictures. I reported it and Ebay removed the auction. Some weeks later it appeared again with the same MO.I reported it and Ebay removed the auction. Some months later it appeared again with the same MO.I reported it and Ebay removed the auction. Again some months later it appeared again with the same MO.I reported it and Ebay removed the auction. And again some months later it appeared again with the same MO.I reported it and Ebay didn`t get back to me the auction ended with no bids. Then another auction of mine was copied in the same way and I reported this as well. And again Ebay didn’t reply and left the auction to run its course of no bids. Now the auction had appeared yet again with the same MO. I haven’t bothered reporting it as it is now well known by the dedicated chess fraternity that this is a bogus auction. So ok there is no hard proof that this is a bogus auction. But the circumstantial evidence listed above makes me a tad suspicious. Now you say that this might be a genuine auction. If you really think this is a genuine Auction then bid away… Clive
