If I can understand chessbase spanish site's presentation of the event : 1. Junior has been three times world computer champion ... ... but it is not said that it was far behind the best competitors this year.. 2. Hydra is said to have won at Paderborn 2003 and 2005 (!)... ... but it is not said that Shredder won 2004 and that the 2005 edition is still to be played later! 3. Fritz is said to have been undoubtedly the best program in the world until Hydra and junior appeared... ... who is Shredder, who is Fruit, who is Zappa ; where did Fritz compete successfully in the last years? ... So this seems to be on the par with the best examples of Chessbase fairness when covering computer chess events on its site. In my opinion, this non-event is the meeting between three ex-world-champions who still have to make a living of it (and _this_ is pretty normal!) with three programs whose fearful owners do not dare to be directly compared with their toughest silicon competitors.
