No, I never reduce capture, promotions, checks or moves which
are extended.

I used Botvinnik-Markoff extensions in Gothmog, but I don't use the
Botvinnik-Markoff condition for anything at all in Glaurung.  You are
probably referring to the condition I mentioned in my first post in
this thread, but this condition is completely unrelated to the BM
condition (the only similarity is that they both involve refutations
of the null move).  The BM condition is that the null move is
refuted by the same move twice in a row.  My condition for
avoiding reductions is that the null move is refuted by a move
with the moving piece equal to the moving piece of the reduced
move.
