In my TMCI protocol SMIRF uses, there is following convention: if the King's move consists of more than one single step, the target field's coordinate is taken to encode castlings, otherwise the coordinate of the involved Rook will be used. By this you also have defined a unique gesture to signal that move to the GUI. Reinhard.
