Hi Tord, Thanks very much for this ultra-clear explanation. I too prefer your "Late Move Reductions" description and that is how the implementation is described in my program. I'm part-way through testing my implementation and the results are so far very good, although I have only tested very fast blitz so far: tryLMR 64 - 48 qChecks0 (aka PMv1016) This is a 200 game match using 100 typical starting positions, with each program playing both sides of every position.
