Peter,
When I run Deep Junior 9 on my dual opteron 275 (dual processors and dual cores)
I typically see around 5M NPS and it ranges between 4.5 to 5.5 NPS, typically.
Unfortunately, there is not a doubling of NPS when you add the additional
cores/processors.

Just as a point of interest, I ran Fruit 2.1 against Deep Shredder 9 (Chessbase
GUI) on this hardware at long time controls and Fruit 2.1 won the game, much to
my surprise. 4 Processors to 1! I did not run any more games but will in the
future when I get around to purchasing Fruit 2.2.

Another point of interest on this hardware ... Deep Fritz 8 and Deep Junior 8
soundly thrash Deep Shredder 9 using the Chessbase GUI and 5 minute time
controls. I contacted Stefan about this and he has no idea why DS9 performed so
poorly. 100 games against each engine.
Regards,
Frank
