I didn't experience your post as critical :-). However, I believe that the book contributes more than the hardware on playchess. BTW, I run Hiarcs on an FX-53, which is a fast machine and Hiarcs seems to like it (averaging about 350-450 kn/s). I still hope that the book change leading to better rating was not merely a fluke...
