I think that Vladan's reply was quite informative: An AMD XP running at 2 Ghz should run at(a non-existent) 2.8+ Ghz to be an equivalent of an AMD64 2.6 Ghz. What's wrong with this speed-up? Isn't it sufficient :-)? Axon 1.0 is a 16 bit chess program though and most contemporary programs are 32 bit. Regardless of that I believe that the relevant speed-up ratio is correctly reflected in the Axon Benchmark.
