It takes a few consecutive weeks of inactivity to be dropped from the main list. Notable TDChess and ZChess share the top spot this week. TDChess was the most active. All of the active programs (except one) showed a rating increase this week, folks must be very busy improving their code. And, there's no truth to the rumor that it was me who shut down ICC today, in an attempt to wipe out last week's games. :) Hossa recorded a new personal high, 2580. Steffen has been making various improvements, and working on the endgame. u2600 Position of the Week The following position is from the game PostModernist - Amateur, played this week on fics or ICC. PM makes an interesting move, Bf5, which appears pretty speculative, but seems to me to be the best move. No program I have tested will play it. Question -- is it the best move, and if so, how did PM come to play it? 2r1k2r/1pq3p1/p1n1ppP1/3p3n/3P4/1QNBP2P/PP4Pb/R3BR1K w k -
