Really??? This is getting stranger and stranger.  It seems to work on some
machines and not on others, and as far as I can see there is absolutely no
pattern.  :-(

Thanks.  Unfortunately it isn't really quite as nice as it looks.  It is slow,
has too many bugs, and lacks many important features.  All of this will
improve in future versions, of course.
