Thanks for the help. I guess that sets the max threads but it's not helping. Also when starting crafty-smp in a dos box the first line is "Initializing multiple threads." Problem is the NPS for this setup is almost exactly the same as the single CPU crafty so something is wrong. When I start Deep Sjeng 1.6 it has no problem. The NPS is about double the single CPU value. Jim
