I don't mind the copy protection as long as a patch is issued when the copy
protection has finished serving it's purpose. That way, I don't end up with a
program that cant be used on a system change if the programmer has stopped doing
business.

The probable reason you haven't seen a crack for Fruit is because it has a very
limited audience. One wonders, in this case, if the copy protection has actually
contributed at all to sales, which would have been limited to computer chess
enthusiasts anyway.
