>Btw, have you tried to find someone who can replace the display in your Savant? >(i.e. Ruud's new display comes to mind when thinking about it...) sadly i think this is not possible the display in the Savants were not like any other ever made the first touch screen move input system...it contained small black particles (like grains of sand) that would fill the screen when touched and then highlighted by a back lighting system over the years these particles either evaporated leaving a totally blank screen or expanded covering the screen in a black coating so today all screens are either blank or blackened interestingly enough however is that in some Savants the actual processor can still work and the screen can still be sensitive to the touch move. if the Savant is attached to the Novag Printer in these machines, games can still be played i have two such Savants in addition i have a Savant where the pieces can still be seen and the screen is not totally dark(or blank) but its very very faint and the function keys no longer work another collector(Alwin Gruber) had a Savant that was working perfectly up to a year ago,but i am told that now his screen is gone :(( Idiot Savant Regards Steve
