No, but there are people with just a slight interest in the product. At $0 they
might just try it out. At $35 they are not interested. So the Y people will not
pay anyway.

The other group, the X men, might be willing to pay good money for the product,
but will not when bothered with a copy protection. This is a real loss of money!

But when you get your cash or your car stolen, you actually lose the property.

When someone infringes on your intellectual property, you still have it.

The real problems with the copy protection is
- it adds cost to the product
- it adds additional work for issuing the keys
- it adds additional work for the buyer
- it adds potential glitches for the genuine buyers

Some people will just not buy it because of this.


What we are questioning is whether this increases or decreases the net income
for the program author. Who knows?!
