Depends on your definition of a "regular Cocoa application". It is irregular
in the sense that it is a Lisp program, and not an Objective-C program. The
big Scatha.image file is just an OpenMCL Lisp image with some chess-related
code of my own added.
Anyway, there is hope that the problem is finally solved now. I sent Andy a
new experimental version this morning, and he wrote back that it seems to
work. I'll release a new official version later today, after adding a
"Set up position" function for rectangular chess and fixing a few minor bugs.
Meanwhile, those who are very impatient can download the experimental version
I sent to Andy from http://www.math.uio.no/~romstad/s.tar.gz
Thanks to all of you for your help!
