Hello Adam, Thanks for trying to help. If you read my post again you will see that my new computer does not have an rs232 connector. It only has USB ports. So the old RS232 null modem cable no longer works. I'm trying to figure out how to make the two computers play through my network which both have ethernet cards. I have been playing programs vs each other for years with RS232 cable connected to the com ports. New computers don't seem to have those old RS232 ports anymore. I'm still playing with the network trying to make it work. I'm also going to get a RS232 to USB adaptor to see if that works. Thanks, Jim
