I don't know. I'm a newbie at running engine matches so don't understand a lot.
For example I don't see any mention of the many variables in your match
conditions. Also I don't know what your time control means: 40'/40+40'/40+40'40
0. And sorry but I don't understand German very well. But in general, it looks
like Fruit 2/2.2/2.2.1 and its variations such as Toga II 1.0 [Pascal] are
scoring well vs Shredder 9 in the various engine matches I've seen so far.
My match is now up to 40 games with these results...
Fruit 2.2.1 vs Shredder 9.1 match
Time control: 60 Moves in 15 min, Rest in 5 min. Computer: AMD Athlon 2400+ @
2GHz, 1G RAM, Windows XP Home SP2. Software: Shredder 9.1 Classic GUI.
both engines use: UCI protocol, 256 MB hash, Shredder 9 opening book
both engines play the same opening with white and black ("swap")
book learning off, permanent brain off, 5 piece tablebases on (16 MB cache)
fruit 2.2.1 1010===01= 10==000=01 1110010110 1011101110 21½ 53.75%
shredder 9.1 0101===10= 01==111=10 0001101001 0100010001 18½ 46.25%
per 10 games:
fruit/shredr 5/5 3½/6½ 6/4 7/3 40 100.0%
PGN game scores available on request.
