If I remove the limit to the number of extensions SpiderChess finds the mate in 0.6 seconds (264594 nodes)on an AMD 2000 XP: 6 +31930 60 264594 h6-g5 g4-f3 g5-g3 f3-e2 g3-e3 e2-d1 e3-e1 d1-c2 .. But without the limit the engine probably overextends even more than Fruit ..
