I read all of the rhetoric posted here and went to your account and pulled down
the information at the bottom of this message.
Frankly, it appears to be a misunderstanding to me.
Based on the times in question (when you sent your messages to OliB and when you
played the games), there are several items of contention.
1) There were 10 wins in a row, not 11 (minor).
2) The history shows that you played 14 games before you sent your message to
OliB.
It would appear that you had 12 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw before you sent this
message. It would also appear that from the message, you and CheckOneDo had sent
several tells before that. Now if what Mr. Boehm says is correct, I could see
where CheckOneDo thought you were using a computer on a non-computer account
(without the (C) ), then I could see where he would have been bothered by that.
If he did ask you to logoff and log back on OR if he asked you if you were using
a computer AND you missed a message of either of these types since you were
playing fast games, I could see why he would resign your game for you after you
played a human with it (wouldn’t you do that if you suspected a cheater?).
You mentioned in one of your posts that he observed your games. Maybe he thought
you were a cheater and killed your game (and that may also be the reason he
supposedly dropped your rating). Or maybe he was annoyed since he asked you to
logoff and log back on and you didn't.
3) Mr. Boehm’s statement that you were not banned is truthful since I was able
to get in with your account (I realize that you stated this in a separate
posting).
4) I cannot see anything in the history that would indicate that anything that
Mr. Boehm said concerning this issue was a lie.
You said that he called you a liar, but which of his statements was that?
You stated (repeatedly) that Hiarcs7 was banned. Your proof of this is that one
game was resigned for you (after you were "supposedly asked" to logoff and log
back on so that others would know that you were using a computer and after you
did play a human opponent). Since the account is not banned and Mr. Boehm has
publicly stated that you (and others) should bring in whatever computer program
you wish, where is the problem?
You stated that Hiarcs7 was banned (it actually was not, a game it was playing
was resigned) because it had 11 wins in a row and was too strong, but in
reality, it actually played 17 games with a +14=1-2 record before the 18th game
was resigned. In fact, just 2 games before the resigned game, Hiarcs7 lost. This
answer does not seem to be the proper motivating factor for what happened.
But like Mr. Boehm posted, what is the motivation for dropping a rating? Please
explain. It doesn't make sense.
Again, this seems like a misunderstanding that has gotten blown out of
proportion.
Your messages have been very accusatory and inflammatory (just look at all of
the people who jumped on the bandwagon with just your sayso and without looking
at the history), however, the proof (you sending a message to someone who didn't
answer?) is minimal. It would be a shame if a group of people here who read your
postings failed to play at chess4u merely because you had a misunderstanding
with them and were not willing to forgive and forget.
If you have other proof, please post it. As a chess server neophyte, I am not
capable of digging for all of the information available.
