Hi all,
I have done lots and lots of icc testing in blitz such as 5-3 and 4-3. The best
anti human engine at those time controls is s9.1/ds9.1 uci. Junior/dj9 is not at
all the best, certainly not on default. Fruit 2.2 is about 140 elo weaker in 4-3
then in 10+10 and is especially amicable to draws vs humans in blitz. Hiarcs9 is
ok. The best by far is s9.1/ds9.1 with my custom settings:). S8 was also very
good anti human.
Fritz9 allows lots of draws also! It just plays too darn slow no matter what
settings I have tried.
However, the most important factor by far, perhaps even more so then the engine
is which opening book I use. I constantly have to tear out drawn/overly static
positions and doing this a lot has helped my results the most.
DS9.1 custom, 4+3 on athlon 2.55 ghz, with tb's.
Smashed a 2650 FIDE super gm 6.5-0.5, his icc rating was 3050 at the time.
Shredder8 also had the exactly same results in years past!
