I just got thru installing 3,4, and 5 man tablebases in chessbase. Before i installed them, theprograms could not immediately show #24 or #16 or whatever, when I set up a king and queen vs. king a rook. Now they can. And in my analysis windows before i installed the tablebases it did not show TB= 588 or some number. Now it does that also. Whcih tells me my tablebases are working. They will show TB=a particular no. when i run Fruit 2.2.1 in such situation, but wont when i run Fruit 2.2 Which is good, that is the way it should work. But the problem i dont understand is any of the programs that can access the tablebases will show TB= a no. in each analysis line. BUT THEY WIIL DO THAT even when in the engines list i uncheck the box that says "use tablebases" I thought unchecking that box would disable them, but if so why does the TB= 588 or whatever show up even then. Am i disabling them when i uncheck the box. Confused on this. Any help greatly appreciated. Regards, George
